1. Our commitment
Trellisi is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We believe everyone should be able to access the information and services we provide online.
We actively work to ensure this website meets recognised accessibility standards and continue to review and improve our approach as standards and best practices evolve.
2. Standards we follow
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor and cognitive impairments.
Level AA compliance addresses the most common barriers that users with disabilities encounter when accessing web content. We treat this as a baseline commitment, not a ceiling, and apply higher standards where practical.
3. What we do
To support accessible use of this website, we have implemented the following practices:
Structure and navigation
- Semantic HTML throughout, using appropriate heading levels, landmarks and labelled regions to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Logical page structure with a consistent navigation layout across all pages.
- Skip-to-content functionality and keyboard-navigable menus, forms and interactive elements.
Visual design
- Colour contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- No content that relies solely on colour to convey meaning.
Motion and animation
- Support for the
prefers-reduced-motionoperating system setting, which disables animations and transitions across the site for users who have enabled this preference.
Forms
- All form fields have associated labels and clear placeholder text.
- Required fields are identified both visually and programmatically.
- Error states and validation messages are presented clearly.
Images and media
- Alternative text provided for meaningful images.
- Decorative images marked appropriately so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
Links and interactive elements
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements for keyboard users.
- Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context.
- External links identified where appropriate.
4. Navigating this website
You can navigate this website using a keyboard. The following keys are commonly used:
- Tab moves focus to the next interactive element (link, button, form field).
- Shift + Tab moves focus to the previous interactive element.
- Enter activates a focused link or button.
- Escape closes dropdown menus and overlays.
This website is designed to work with common screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS) and TalkBack (Android).
